Christmas is one of my favourite times of year because of eggnog! I really enjoy eggnog- especially when its creamy, not too sweet, filled with spices and of course a nice dash of rum!
It’s been a tradition of mine every Christmas to get eggnog from Cafe Blue.
During late November to December Cafe Blue offers their Chairman’s Eggnog, a rich eggnog flavoured with cinnamon and topped with whipped cream. You can add alcohol as well.

I’m realising the at different locations you get different things, this year I’ve only managed to get the Chairman’s eggnog from the Sovereign location in Liguanea, there they have both the hot and cold and add rum cream to their eggnog. The cost for the eggnog without alcohol is $975 and $1275 with alcohol.
When I shared about the eggnog on my social media, others told me that rum was added to their’s and not rum cream and that some locations didn’t even have the hot version. And that x location tasted better than others.

I really like the eggnog overall, the first time I had it for the season it was perfect- but people are right it seems like there is not uniformity across and even within stores. I went back to the same store and got a different tasting eggnog. Some persons have gone to different stores and got a different tasting eggnog from before as well. That part I’m not a huge fan of at all!

Overall, its my chosen drink for Christmas, and I really like the hot version- even if it means not having my cinnamon stick. When I check their Instagram I realise they actually have two other Christmas drinks that maybe I should consider trying?
Have you had any of Cafe Blue’s Christmas drinks?
BTW Did I mention Devon House has this delicious rummy creamy eggnog ice cream??? You MUST try it!

Merry Christmas!
Samantha
