Why I Went Back To Creating

When I was a teenager I spent a lot of time on Facebook, Blogspot and WordPress sharing many aspects of my life. I would blog, share tips and post pictures of food I made, recipes and my hair and make up! I also lived for photoshoots.

When I got older I stopped creating as much as I did before and pretty much just stopped posting anything. One day I remember getting really upset (I don’t remember what about) and deleted the two blogs I ran at the time. After that I just completely stopped.

In 2018 I reentered the blogging world by creating The Layman’s Doctor blog a blog dedicated to bridging the gap between healthcare, patients and health care workers. This also catapulted me sharing more online as well. Eventually, in 2020 and 2021 I started sharing even more, my cooking and baking, my sewing, my art and my writing.

Creating had always been an outlet for me. It helped to calm and quiet my mind as well as put excess energy into something. I use creating as an escape. Now, with the rise of blogging, influencers and everything in-between I’m started taking content creating and building a brand more seriously while still maintaining the fun.

Honestly, it’s still a hobby for my, restarting my personal blog gives me more space and room to share my life, thoughts and ideas with the world. Trying to find the balance between having fun, producing content and not being burnt out is a challenge. Once it starts feeling like work or forced I almost don’t want to do it any more!

As life got more stressful with working as a doctor and the pandemic, getting in touch with my creative side has become more and more important to me and a proven comfort in these times of stress!

Merry Christmas!
